What types of fireplaces do you service?
Fireside Escapes services many gas fireplaces, direct-vent fireplaces, factory-built systems and gas log configurations. Service and parts availability depend on the manufacturer, model, age and condition of the equipment.
Why won’t my gas fireplace light?
Possible causes include depleted batteries, a dirty or damaged pilot assembly, inadequate flame contact, a weak thermocouple or thermopile, a defective switch, remote or receiver problems, electronic ignition failure or a gas-supply issue. Diagnosis is recommended before replacing parts.
Do you sell fireplace parts directly?
We source model-specific components as part of approved fireplace repairs. We do not recommend selecting parts solely by appearance because similar components may have different specifications and compatibility requirements.
Do you install customer-supplied parts?
Fireside Escapes generally does not install customer-supplied fireplace parts. Sourcing the appropriate component helps us verify model compatibility and provide clearer responsibility for the completed repair.
Do you install gas logs?
Yes. We install and replace vented and vent-free gas log systems when appropriate for the fireplace. Gas-line installation or modification is separate and may require a licensed plumber.
Should I use my fireplace if I smell gas?
No. Stop using the fireplace. If the odor is strong or persistent, leave the property and contact your gas provider or emergency services from a safe location. Do not continue attempting to ignite the fireplace.
