A CLOSER LOOK
Understand your fireplace before your next decision.
Fireside Escapes offers fireplace inspections in North Texas. Tell us what you need to learn about your fireplace so we can discuss the appropriate inspection scope.
What brings you to an inspection?
Buying a home
An unfamiliar fireplace raises questions about its condition and history. Share the property address, any existing inspection notes, and your purchase timeline.
Returning to use
If the fireplace has been unused for a long time, tell us what you know about its last use and any visible damage, staining, or changes.
Planning an upgrade
Before choosing gas logs or a replacement fireplace, an evaluation can help identify existing conditions that need attention. Share the changes you have in mind.
THE AGREED SCOPE
What we review
The fireplace type, reason for the visit, and available access determine what can be evaluated.
- The accessible fireplace and its visible condition.
- Visible venting or chimney components within the agreed scope.
- Damage, water staining, or deterioration in accessible areas.
- Operating concerns and history you share with us.
- Conditions that may call for additional evaluation.
From observations to next steps
We explain observed conditions and recommendations so you can understand what needs attention and what may require further investigation.
Access and limitations
A visual, non-invasive inspection cannot reveal every concealed condition. Inaccessible areas may require additional access, equipment, or a follow-up inspection.
Follow-up work
Cleaning, repairs, invasive access, and additional testing are separate unless included in the agreed service. Where needed, we can discuss gas fireplace repair or chimney repair.
Before you book an inspection
Can you inspect a fireplace during a home purchase?
Contact us with the address, fireplace type if known, and your deadline. We will discuss availability and the inspection scope before scheduling.
What should I send with my request?
Include your city, photos you already have, the brand and model if available, and the reason for the inspection. Existing reports or notes can help explain your concern.
Does an inspection include cleaning?
Cleaning is included only when it is part of the agreed service. Tell us if you also want fireplace maintenance so the work and pricing can be discussed.
What if part of the chimney cannot be reached?
We explain how access limits the evaluation and whether additional access or a follow-up visit is appropriate. The inspection describes the conditions observed within its scope.
Start with the question you need answered.
Tell us about your fireplace, your city, and any timing requirements.
